1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of Finteco.pro (“we”, “us”), including its screening and Know-Your-Partner (KYP) tools. By registering an account or using the tools you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the tools. The public pages (Home, Services, Registers, News, About, Vacancies) can be read without an account. Our Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled.
2. Who may use the tools
The tools are for compliance and business professionals aged 18 or over. If you sign up on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to do so. Please give an accurate email address when you register.
3. What the service does
- The screening tool searches names against sanctions lists, watchlists, politically-exposed-person (PEP) data, regulator warnings and similar public sources that we collect from third parties.
- The KYP tools let you build, fill in, save and export due-diligence forms.
- The News page shows headlines and short excerpts from public feeds, each linking to its original publisher, and a daily brief of short summaries written in our own words with AI assistance and reviewed before publishing. Briefs can contain errors, so check the original source before relying on one.
- The Document check reads an AML/CFT policy or procedure you upload against a country’s obligations and reports what the document says, with quotes, a score and law changes after the document’s date. An AI model reads the document; every quote is checked against your document’s text before it is shown. It reports what the document says, not whether your firm complies, and does not give legal advice. Where a country’s obligations are marked as a draft, results are indicative only.
- The Document creation tool builds a policy or procedure template (Word) from a country’s obligations for the company type you choose. It is a starting point that you must complete, adapt and have approved; it is not legal advice and does not make a firm compliant.
- The Registers page links to external official websites.
The platform is under active development, and features may change, be added or be removed.
4. Results are an aid, not a decision
A screening result is not legal, financial or compliance advice, and “no match” is not a clearance. You remain solely responsible for your own compliance decisions and regulatory obligations.
Screening results may be incomplete or out of date, may include false matches, and may miss a match where a name is spelled, transliterated or recorded differently. We do not verify anyone’s identity. Before acting on a result — or on the absence of one — check it against the official source (each result links to its source) and apply your own professional judgement.
5. Data sources and availability
The information comes from third-party publishers that change their formats, restrict access or go offline without notice. The tool shows the status of each source, but we do not guarantee that any source is complete, current or available at a given moment, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
6. Your account
Keep your password confidential and tell us promptly if you think your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or close an account that we reasonably believe is being misused.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service for anything unlawful, or in breach of anyone else’s rights;
- try to access another user’s data, probe or bypass our security, or interfere with the service;
- scrape the service, send automated or bulk queries, or otherwise put unreasonable load on it or on the third-party sources behind it;
- copy, resell or republish the aggregated data, or use it to build a competing database;
- upload malicious code or content you have no right to use;
- take a decision with legal or similarly significant effect on a person based solely on automated screening output, without human review.
8. Personal data you process
When you search for, or save records about, other people, you decide the purpose and means of that processing. You must have a lawful basis for it and comply with the data-protection and AML laws that apply to you. We process that data only to provide the service to you.
9. Your content
You keep ownership of the records, templates, branding and other content you save. You give us a limited licence to store, process and display it solely to provide the service to you. You are responsible for your content, including having the right to use any logo or image you upload.
10. Third-party content and licences
Source data, news headlines, preview pictures and linked websites belong to their respective publishers and are not endorsed by us; pictures are loaded from the publishers’ own sites and remain their property. Some datasets carry their own licence terms (for example attribution or limits on commercial use), and your use of results remains subject to those terms. We are not responsible for the content or availability of external sites.
11. Our intellectual property
The site, its design and its software belong to us and are protected by intellectual-property law. All rights are reserved. These terms give you no licence other than the right to use the service as described here.
12. Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranty about its accuracy, completeness, timeliness or fitness for a particular purpose.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit or business, or for any regulatory fine, penalty or sanction arising from your reliance on the service or on a screening result. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
14. Suspension and ending your use
We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached or the service is discontinued. You may stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account and the records saved in it.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service develops. The date at the top shows when they last changed; if you keep using the service after an update, you accept the updated terms.
16. Governing law
The governing law and the courts that will hear disputes will be specified here once the operating entity is established — see the notice at the top of this page.
17. Contact
A contact address for questions about these terms will be published here — see the notice at the top of this page.
